Description
Headhunters sword Mandau Dayak Borneo. Hand carved wood or bone handle with painted decorations. Wood scabbard; lightweight wood. Very old decorations, beads, teeth, smaller matching pick knife. Some missing and detached pieces on scabbard. Remnants of animal fur. Blade has decoration on top edge (see photos). Nice old piece for display. Measurements for scabbard with sword in it 24 3/4 inches long x 2 inches wide. Sword blade alone (not including handle) is 17 1/2 inches long x 1 1/8 inches wide. It might be a tourist piece except the blade is richly decorated and extra nice. Sword from top of handle to bottom of blade tip is 21 1/4 inches long. See all photographs and details as no returns.
